I talked with parade coordinator Gayle Redman (515-352-3150) and have reserved a spot for the ALR. They would like for us to enter from the East side of Gowrie (come in past the golf course on hiway 175). Lining up time is between 7-9 a.m. with the parade starting at ten. There should be people stationed at intersections to guide you to our spot. If not Market Street somewhere around Palmer's Funeral Home is the destination. Sorry, it's the only land mark I can come up with at this time. The Gowrie Legion has a string of floats with flags honoring their fallen Legion members and they play music as they proceed through the parade. She can't be sure just where the ALR will be, perhaps at the very beginning or somewhere behind these floats so we don't drown out the music. I told her I would give her a "head count" as soon as I could. So, if you are planning to be there, weather permitting of course, please email me or call 515-544-3487 or 515-351-0325 to let me know. Please leave a message if I don't answer personally. Since there are children in the crowd, there can be no nude riders. Sorry, those are the rules. However, shoes are optional. Nyuck, Nyuck, Nyuck.
